A school ERP (enterprise resource planning) system is software that runs a school’s administration and academics in one place. Instead of separate registers, spreadsheets and messaging groups, the office, teachers, students and parents all work from the same records.

Frequently asked questions
Is a school ERP the same as a learning management system (LMS)?
No. An LMS focuses on courses and online lessons; a school ERP runs the school’s administration — admissions, attendance, fees, exams and staff. Some ERPs, like ClassDarpan, also include online MCQ tests and homework.
Can parents use a school ERP?
Yes. Parents and students usually get their own login, often on a mobile app, to see attendance, homework, fees, results and school notices.
Is school data safe in a cloud ERP?
It should be. Check that every user has their own login, that access is limited by role, and that only your school’s users can see your school’s data.
