Account information:name, email address, phone number, address and other contact details provided when a school registers or uses the Service.
Student and staff data:information about students, parents, teachers and staff that the school enters, including academic records, attendance, fees and messages.
Usage data:how the Service is used, such as sign-in times, device information, browser type and IP address. The mobile app sends the name and identifier of the device it signs in from.
Uploaded content:documents, photos, homework and other files uploaded to the Service.
Website enquiries:when you use the contact form on this website: your name, school, phone number, email address, number of students, topic and message.

2. How we use your information

To provide, operate and maintain the Service.
To manage user accounts and sign users in securely.
To answer enquiries and communicate with you about updates, support and important notices.

3. Mobile app permissions

The mobile app asks only for what a feature needs, and only when you use that feature:

Camera:to scan QR codes, such as the code that signs you in to your school.
Files and photos:only the file or photo you choose to attach, for example to homework or a message.

We use industry-standard security measures — encryption, access controls and secure servers — to protect your data.
Every user has their own login, and each school decides which pages its users can open.
Access to sensitive information is restricted to authorised personnel only.
Users are responsible for keeping their account credentials confidential.

6. Data retention

We keep information for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
Some data may be kept for legal, accounting or reporting requirements.
On request or when an account is closed, we delete or anonymise personal data, except where the law requires us to keep it.

7. Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which set cookies, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
Your choice of light or dark theme is saved in your browser, so the site remembers it on your next visit.
